Join our Board of Directors!
Thank you so much for your interest in serving on the California Coaches Board of Directors. It is our mission and goal to be the primary resource for professional coaches in California. We’re excited to serve our coach community, and hope you’ll join us in that vision!
At California Coaches, we believe we’re all in this together. We are focused on elevating the WE, not the I, within our community. We give generously to support each other.
This organization began because Kimberly, our founder, wanted a Christmas party for local coaches. In the spirit of our origin story, we have been happy to welcome a great diversity of coaches from different niches and backgrounds. This is also why we decided not to become a subchapter of the ICF.
We’ve heard that in other professional chapters it feels like everyone is trying to get hired. That’s not true here. It’s not about pitching each other. We build community.
We meet on Mondays at 10 am Pacific time. Most members of the board dedicate 2 hours per week to California Coaches, inclusive of those meetings. Individuals also holding Officers roles will spend more time.
Members of the board are free to choose their title and the project(s) that they want to work on during their term of board service. We encourage board members to choose projects they are excited about and want to leave as a legacy in this community. At the same time, we work together to execute on the projects that will most effectively help Cali Coaches accomplish its mission!
As you can see in the overview document above, typically we ask for one year of service. However, between 2021-2024 we are asking all new board members to commit to two years of service. This is because the organization is at a stage in its growth when it very much needs continuity of leadership.
If you haven’t already, first book a call with our Executive Director using the button above.
To apply to be considered as a board member, complete the forms on the following two tabs (the application and the conflict of interest declaration).
After the Board has a chance to review your information and Conflict of Interest form, if we feel there is a good potential for us to work together we’ll invite you to a Meet and Greet. We will choose one of the dates in your Information form. We meet on Mondays at 10 am Pacific time.
When your date is confirmed, you’ll receive an invitation through Google Calendar. It will also contain the access link.
